He currently works as a Full Time Cardiologist with highly specialised professional assignment at cardiac surgery unit of the Cardiovascular Medicine Department, University Hospital “A.Gemelli”, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy
Since 2003 to 2012 be bas worked as a clinical cardiologist at tbe Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University Hospital “A. Gemelli”, Catbolic University of tbe Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy. Besides cardiology consultations, outpatient clinics, and cardiology on-cali duty, bis clinical activity is especially dedicated to clinical ecbocardiograpby (1500 examinations/year), performed at tbe busy ecbolab of tbe University Hospital “A. Gemelli”, directed by Dr F. Pennestrì. Tbe activity of tbe Department includes nationwide renowned Catb Lab (1500 PCI/year, plus structural, peripberal and valve interventions), EP Lab (expertise in advanced ablation tecbniques), and a large Cardiovascular Surgery activity
Since 2012 be bas been working as cardiologist of cardiac surgery unit directed by Prof. Massimo Massetti at tbe Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University Hospital “A. Gemelli”, Catbolic University of tbe Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy.
In particular bis activity include ecbo-monitoring of cardiac surgery (mininvasive surgery, valve repair, VAD implantation) and percutaneous and ibrid procedures in tbe cath lab and ibrid room (transapical, transaortic and transfemoral TAVI, MITRACLIP, PFO/IAD percutaneous closure); pre-operative ecbocardiograpbic evaluation for planning cardiac surgery; post-operative ecbocardiograpbic evaluation in cardiosurgery intensive care and cardiosurgery ward.
Since 2017 be bad bighly specialised professional assignment as cardiologist cbief of advanced ecbocardiograpbic imaging program at cardiosurgery unit.
